Welcome to my new blog!  
After five years with the old design, I realized that I needed to freshen things up.  One of the things that motivated me to change it up was that I was using Flash and that is no longer a wonderful feature in our fast paced technological world.  (And I believe good old Steve Jobs was NOT a fan!) Wasn't mobile friendly and caused me to fall off of the radar, quite literally.  Google's search engines have also changed their criteria so this new blog is my attempt to not only share thoughts, new work and things I find interesting but also to provide content for the search engines to pick up. I am not a very tech-savvy individual and being a Cancerian, I resist change...but change is good and I am embracing it!  

Goldsmiths and silversmiths design and make jewellery. They may also make objects such as ornamental tableware and trophy-ware. They use precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum. They also use other metals such as pewter, brass, copper and chromium.

Goldsmiths and silversmiths often work alone, and so have to conduct a range of tasks in their work, such as:

• Designing the product and making blueprints to work from
• Pouring molten metal into a mould or cast to create the basic shape of the piece
• Hammering, shaping, beating, stamping, soldering and engraving
• Polishing, enamelling or electro-plating
• Making chains, catches and clips
